Grandma R. & life thoughts.

My grandma Romney passed away 17 years ago, on July 17, 2023. These past several months, I have felt her presence & support in all of my vegan 🌱 fashion pursuits.

Something that keeps coming to me over & over throughout my many years of work, modeling, & overall life experiences is how much of what we do can oftentimes hold a much deeper meaning.

For example, I am incredibly passionate & thankful for the amazing work I get to create & take part in, but it's the application of using it to have a positive effect on others that I am most grateful for. This is what matters most.

The work I share represents many wonderful things at the surface & yet so many more impactful things at the heart.❤️

Lately, during moments of inner stillness, I hear & am reminded that life is about serving & helping others find their way "home". To remember their truth. To know their invaluable purpose. To remind them that they matter & how much they are loved. To compassionately help us all heal by rediscovering who we truly & eternally are.

Yesterday was also Grandma Romney's birthday 🎂. Happy Birthday, Grandma! She’s part of the reason I love flowers 💐 so much. Her backyard was full of rose bushes, tulips, etc. It always smelled like a little piece of heaven on earth.✨

🔍 What advice can you give to someone who wants to start transitioning into a vegan lifestyle?

The best advice I can think of is how much their life is going to transition from the inside-out. When one chooses to embrace the world with compassion as their leading value, everything changes.

You feel more peaceful & connected from all directions: emotional, mental, spiritual, & physical.

Take things a day at a time & remember veganism isn’t about perfection — it’s about making choices that respect all beings & our shared planet.🌎🌍🌏

You will eat more variety in foods than you ever did previously and enjoy incredible vegan products/fashion/etc…. Plus, you will walk this earth knowing YOU ARE THE CHANGE for a better world.🙏🏼

No matter what has happened 5 seconds, 5 minutes, 5 days, or 5 weeks ago, we must always remember to come HOME 🏡 to gentleness & kindness WITHIN.

And it starts with giving these important things to ourselves — the beautiful soul in the mirror 🪞.

Being gentle & kind toward ourselves could look like countless things...

✨Being more patient with our mistakes (our blessings in lessons) as we work to improve.

✨Avoiding shame & judgment when we stumble or fall.

✨Being quick to forgive ourselves when we don’t always get it right.

✨Choosing thoughts that uplift us & highlight our countless strengths.

✨Being free to be human & therefore perfectly imperfect.

✨Validating ourselves & our needs.

✨Giving ourselves permission to try new things even if those things don’t work out the way we hoped.

✨Nurturing ourselves during both the highs & lows of life.

✨Remembering our invaluable purpose within & our wholeness within.

✨Knowing that our inner truth is always our guiding compass.

✨TRUSTING OURSELVES & BEING UNCONDITIONAL IN OUR LOVE FOR WHO WE ARE.

The list 📝 goes on & on…

Be gentle with yourself; be kind to yourself, just as you would an innocent child. And watch how that unbreakable self-love within then becomes your lens for everything outside of you. The CHANGE begins WITHIN.🤲🏼🌼

Everything we want to create & share in life requires the belief that we can do it & the hope that we will achieve it.🙏🏼✨

Without faith, hope, belief, & conviction, it is challenging to see light 🌞 & to know truth. Many of us need to see that light right now. We need to feel HOPE, & we are calling out for the peace that comes from BELIEF.

 Be that for others, even when it feels most challenging to do so. Show them something to BELIEVE in, give them something to HOPE for... simply by being the change you want to see in the world 🌍.🤝✨

And here’s one of the most beautiful parts of it all: you will receive exactly what you gave: HOPE & BELIEF.♾️
